Water purification in Envirolyte ECO units is carried out by oxidation and reduction that destroys and neutralizes all hazardous substances. The concept of water treatment in these units can be summarized as follows: the treatment removes everything that is harmful and foreign to the human body and retains everything that is useful and harmless.
Envirolyte water has excellent absorption and hydration potential, having a higher concentration of soluble minerals. How it works?

The water purification process in Envirolyte ECO units involves anodic electrolytic oxidation with simultaneous cation removal; additional electrocatalytic and chemical oxidation in an intermediate vortex reactor tank and catalytic purification in a catalytic reactor.
The unit consists of a diaphragmatic electrochemical flow cell, a catalytic reactor, a vortex reaction chamber and a VDC power supply. The reactor electrodes are coated with ruthenium, iridium, platinum and titanium oxides. An ultra-filtering ceramic diaphragm made of zirconium, yttrium and aluminium oxides is positioned between the anode and cathode chambers, preventing water mixing and allowing ion migration in the electric field between the anode and cathode. The design of the diaphragmatic cells ensures that all micro-volumes of water passing through the anode or cathode electrode chambers come into contact with an electrode surface, where the electrical intensity reaches 100,000 to 10,000,000 V/cm in the Electrical Double Layer (EDL).
Water purified by Envirolyte ECO units acquires biocidal properties, stimulates biological oxidation and can provide indirect electrochemical detoxification of the human body through the oxidation and hydroxylation of uremic and other toxins.
During anodic unipolar electrochemical treatment, water becomes saturated with highly active oxidants within fractions of a second.
Direct electrolytic oxidation processes (on the electrode surface) and electrocatalytic oxidation ensure the destruction of organic impurities and microorganisms. The end products of the total oxidation of all organic matter (including phenols) are generally harmless, mainly carbon dioxide and water.
The extremely high oxidation-reduction potential of the water directly in the anode chamber and the meta-stable compounds of active chlorine and active oxygen participating in the reactions prevent the formation of toxic organic chlorine substances and ensure the total destruction of dioxins.
In the catalytic reactor, the catalytic destruction of active chlorine compounds and the catalytic oxidation of organic substances are carried out on the surface of the granules of a catalyst without replacement and without regeneration, where the active chlorine compounds decay. Upon exiting the catalytic chamber, the water is saturated with oxygen and contains virtually no active chlorine compounds.
